partly to bring a new lease of life to it and partly because i’m an amazing person i have decided to allow payments of £0 on the album. this means that all of my releases on bandcamp are now pay-what-you-want with no minimum. also i’m back working on a second one now. that will also be the same deal… soon. i hope.

So things have been a little quiet round these parts of late. They have, don’t look at me like that. I’ve been busy and lazy in fairly equal measure… it’s important to find a ballance in life i feel.

Big Sky Infinity is happening and i’m recording the voiceover parts for that around now. I also made a new song for it just to see if i still could and because mister James always said he could find a home for more chiptunes! i have no idea when that will be done and dusted but i expect it won’t take all THAT long. obviously i’ll mention/link/whatevoir it here because i’m proud of my work with bossbaddie. ummmmm.

A few months ago i told mister David Brain of Ornsack ‘fame’ he can gut my albums/EPs/downloads/whaturvurr for music as he needs…. first come first serve, he came first i served. You may have noticed the introductiory riff to TGFO has been adopted as their ident tune.. all dine and fandy. BUT (and mine is a capital but) i’m always open to spreading my music whore-ing further. If anyone wants some… i’ll make some! simp-hole.

My live band is taking shape… in fact we’re ready to kick bottom. Only trouble is we still havent found a drummer who’s stuck with us.. (or indeed who we’ve stuck with) theres always something. either we’re too weird for them or they love us but are too far away… etc.

finally for now. since this IS a blog… here’s what i had for breakfast today:

i havent been doing a great deal of those stuffs lately, i’m gradually working on a 2nd bandcamp album and the occasional bit of ornsack flavour stuff (and perhaps for more people too) but really and truely i’ve been slacking. hard.

the majority of said slacking has been through tribes ascend which is a game what where you shoot at people and often capture flags. i was attracted by the oldschool PC shooter feel of fast moving players with slow projectile weapons and a high skill ceiling ala quake games. i miss those days. yeah free to play and all that balls, have a go.

i should game less and muskit more.

A bandcamp exclusive EP. Born out of bad feelings, turned into less bad ones. also includes the music from Ornsack’s cat fight video as well as a bonus track and 2 little bonus videos. Pay-what-you-want … and that includes the mighty fine figure of £0 this time… if you’re that way inclined.

i’m not a very good band leader. i’m just not naturally that sort of a person. i dont like singing and i dont enjoy ordering my peers around. BUT I MUST. this is really an ability i need to work on. i’m so used to just playing on my own that now the full wall of sound provided by a full band at full volume seems overwhelming. i need to keep track of the noises i’m making to make sure they’re right. this is all stuff that one needs to get the hang of and i will. i just havent nailed it yet.

anyway in actual news i have an EP on the way (to bandcamp) very soon. just need to do the vocals for one track on there. its going to be pay-what-you-want with no minimum. 5 tracks, 2 actual decent ones. (plus secret bonus stuff)

oh and that song i did for a comedic youtube video, as far as i’m aware thats still on the way although already about a month overdue. still the person(s) responsible for that have done lots of brilliant stuff in the past so i dont doubt they’ll get it done one day. oh and the track for this video… yeah its on the EP too. because why not.

ayarrnd finally. i’ve been getting into this sort of thing lately. you may or may not spot the influences of those sorts of noises sneaking their way into more of my music in future. who knows!

I haven’t posted here in a little while because not a great deal of stuff has happened. However a eurogamer expo happened and we (that is bossbaddie) were there. here’s a couple of interviews. one of which features me buzzing like a maniac on free energy drinks. blergh, in my haste to get it out i failed to spot a typo and the fact that according to the mp3 tags there’s two track 13s and no 14! so that’s all fixed now, i’ll be replacing the zip soon along with 2 more tracks (the cascades and the latest narration track with outtakes). Also itunes doesn’t associate the album cover picture with the songs which is mildly annoying.

RBSOST1.1 is on it’s way in the very soonage.

yeah i’ll continue to update it if i find myself doing any more narration parts, just to keep it definitive and complete.

As some of you fine folk may have spotted the Men of Phise song is in there (courtesy of  Lord Herring himself!). Other intriguing things about that list of words and numbers is some tracks don’t have lengths – those are the ones I haven’t finished recording yet! (EDIT: they have lengths now, eeee)  Also some people may recognise some song names. These are the final mixes here people!

I think a release might be possible in a monthish or so. although that could be pushed back or forward if it likes.

Oh last thing, it’ll be pay-what-you-want since i can’t possibly know how much a year of my work is actually worth to people. so if you want 15 tracks for a quid that’s perfectly possible!

In the meantime i might throw out a free collection of my songs for/from youtube over the years…. if i can be bothered.
